| | Kistner Supply Publishing Company | | A Letter from the publisher:
It has been 100 years since Dodge Publishing Company introduced families to Mother Stork’s Baby Book. I, on the other hand, was first shown the 1904 edition of Mother Stork’s Baby Book by my mother in 2002. It was my grandmother’s baby book, filled out by my great-grandmother, granny Kistner, in the early 1900s. The illustrations, the poems, the language and my great-grandmother’s beautiful handwriting instantly entranced me. The only problem was that the book was falling apart. I thought about having the book repaired and leaving it at that, but instead I decided to bring a new and improved edition to you, just in time for the 100th Anniversary of Mother Stork’s Baby Book.
Kistner Supply Publishing Company was created specifically to provide a baby book that would capture those once in a lifetime memories and to present them in a classic, collectible format that is still in style after 100 years.
I have not found any book like this one for sale anywhere in the country, in baby boutiques, bookstores and fine paperies. Unique, classic and stylish, Mother Stork’s Baby Book 100th Anniversary Edition is reminiscent of simpler days, and the timeless quality ensures that the content you write within this record will be cherished and enjoyed for generations to come.
This 104-page new edition includes the original illustrations by Albertine Randall Wheelan and the gentle words of several well-known poets including Lewis Carroll, Eugene Field and Robert Louis Stevenson. Mother Stork’s Baby Book offers 50 categories in which to organize your baby’s earliest information and ample room to mount your favorite images and keepsakes.
In the production of Mother Stork’s Baby Book 100th Anniversary Edition I have been determined to provide the best of quality, focusing on the paper, printing process, color, format, book cloth, dust jacket and custom storage box, and most importantly, the uncompromising quality of life I want to preserve for my family and yours.
